Abstract (english text)
The Quadrilatero Ferrifero (QF) is located in the state of Minas Gerais, in the central-south and covers an area of approximately 7000 km 2. The QF has various sums as geological, historical, tourist, economic, and other geoscience. For these reasons, and the ease of access and location, the region has become very important teaching / education. Such considerations have led to the QF was chosen as the object of analysis in this work. The general objective was to identify the main changes that occurred in the urban landscape and environmental do Quadrilátero Ferrífero based on monitoring of spatial changes of different times, sorting and processing of Landsat images in SPRING software. Specifically, we sought to distinguish which and how many there are areas where expansion of land use by humans. The processing of the images went through georeferencing correction to achieve a standard error compatible with the scale of work, radiometric correction between scenes, since the mosaic work required with three scenes, radiometric correction between different dates. Next were the segmentation and classification of images. Subsequently, they were the transformations of tutoring for the classes of dense scrub and disturbed areas. The mapping presented showed to contribute with several other students and researchers in the region to identify priorities for study, since it identifies areas, shows what happened to them, and generates quantitative data where there were major changes in the landscape of QF.
