This article discusses issues related to the urban environment and landscape planning in the county of Divinópolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil, focusing on the central area of the city. The main proposed approach the theme is the study of the mechanisms of the master Plans as generators and catalysts of landscape transformations, in order to carry out simulations that allow an insight into the future trends and analyze the feasible developed landscapes in a critical manner according to the current legislation.
