Abstract (english text)
In Fortaleza, the fifth most populous city in Brazil, the urban growth is occurring in a vertical scale with the incitement for densification in areas provided with infrastructure and urban services. The development of 3D GIS models that use GIS database associated with tridimensional territorial modeling emerge as an important computer tool to support urban planning. The main goal this research was to analyze through 3D GIS model the set of urban parameters which are currently practiced, and its impact considering the main local characteristics. As the research evolves, there might be verified the relevance of the investment in information communication which greatly favors not only the visualization by the many actor of the legal urban landscape, but also their effective participation in the decision making process concerning the landscape planning.
